{Belgium v. Puerto Rico in the semi-finals}
Bonjour a tous! I’m writing to you from lovely Montreal (hence the out-of-nowhere French greeting <– ). Last night I attended the Stella Artois DraughtMaster World Championship, which was a blast. So please excuse any beer-induced typos.
WORKING ON:
Making moves! I don’t know if you saw on Twitter, but I’m working on some things, hoping any of them work out. Stay tuned!
THINKING ABOUT:
Sleep. For now, just thinking.
LISTENING TO:
Let’s be real. I am definitely listening to the new Taylor Swift album. What’s that? Yeah, it’s amazing. Do you want to listen to it too? That’s totally fine by me. I would never think it’s weird if a guy wants to listen to T.Swift. I contend that all country music gets a pass in pop culture. I know T.Swift’s more pop than country these days, but the point remains: country music - all of it – gets a guilty-pleasure free pass from me. The choruses are so catchy! Enjoy the music you like and who cares what other people think?
EATING:
Everything in site in Montreal! I’ve been here the past few days with Stella Artois for the World Draughtmaster Championship, and do you know what pairs well with beer? Lots of heavy, meaty things I’ll be working off later this week, but for now, pass the Everything.
THANKFUL FOR:
Opportunities like these last few days in Montreal! Stella Artois was very gracious in inviting me, and I’ve had a really fun time. It feels a bit like an extension of the excitement I feel when one of you guys emails me to tell me you picked up a shirt I recommended, or socks I said I liked. Not necessary, but nice validation.
ANTICIPATING:
I’m thinking all about winter coats for you guys right now – one trendy look and one timeless. I’m kind of obsessed with the idea of a guy in either a great camel-colored coat, or in a sport coat with a thin puffer vest under it. I saw an editorial with the latter in GQ on Chris Paul, and I loved how it was sporty and dressed up all at the same time. Like an L.L. Bean Signature or J.Crew mannequin come to life.
As for the other, I think a camel-colored coat is just such a worthwhile investment piece. It will literally never go out of style, and as long as you don’t 1) balloon up 200 pounds or conversely 2) waste away to nothing, it will fit you forever. I saw an amazing one at J.Lindeberg when I was pulling pieces for this little number, and I am doing everything in my power to get it on the back of every guy I know.
