Check It Out: StyleSeek

The social platform that just launched yesterday is equal parts style discovery, curation, and e-comm…with a splash of Style Girlfriend added in for spice.

My buddy Ryan Plett, of You Have Broken The Internet, is serving as creative director for the site, hoping to be a style destination for well-dressed (or want-to-be-well-dressed) guys.

The site mixes content like posts by yours truly (!) with links to products you can buy. It’s a great way to learn about new brands, new blogs, and new trends.

The fun part comes up front, when you take a style quiz (don’t worry, there are no wrong answers) picking images you like to help the site determine more about your personal style. The Aston Martin or the Jeep? The watch with the metal bracelet or the leather strap? Make your selects, wait for the site to crunch some fancy numbers, then watch as the site spits out your Style DNA.

When I took the test, the results page pulled up items that I’ve posted about here before, like my beloved Tretorn sneaks, Saturdays NYC short-sleeve button downs, and the Ludlow sportcoat from J.Crew.

It totally gets me!

Explore the StyleDNA of Icons (like JFK), Influencers (like me!), and even by Occupation (to wit, graphic designer and investment bankers have very different dress codes).
