MEGAN’S GUIDE TO BUYING ME GIFTS FOR MY BIRTHDAY

Important stuff today guys:

It is my birthday on Saturday! I have been celebrating for awhile now, but tomorrow it’s all over. I’ll be an old lady, and we’ll slowly drift apart because I’ll always chuckle nervously when you make jokes because I can’t really hear what you said, and you’ll be put off by how I always smell like mothballs.

But it’s fine! I get presents, and guess who loves presents? Everyone, obviously, but chicks, specifically. So here’s what’s on my wish list this year. If you have a special lady in your life, you could do worse than buying her a b-day present – or anytime present! - from the list below.

Sun Hat (Gap, $35)

I think we all know how great I look in a hat. I mean, there’s bragging, and then there’s just owning the facts. And the fact is, it’s high time I got my hands on – and my noggin under – one of these wide-brimmed bad boys for good (the one in the pic was just a loaner).

Bracelet (Reeve, $170)

Look, does every girl want the Cartier Love bracelet? Yes. But (1) can every guy afford that (no) and (2) is every relationship at the “I want to lock up your wrist – and by proxy YOUR HEART – forever and ever with this expensive jewelry symbolizing that? No again. This bauble, then, is a nice, newer relationship version. It’s a screw cuff and is supposed to stay on, but there’s no deeper ‘true love forever’ significance to it. It’s just really pretty.

Li-i-i-i-ngerie (The Little Bra Company, $58)

God bless you if your lady was blessed with (or, hey, bought) a big bosom, but I sure wasn’t. And haven’t. The ones I’ve found from The Little Bra Company have been a miracle worker. Pretty, comfortable, and well, they work.

Aviators (Ray-Ban, $145)

This is the year I finally start sporting Aviators. It just has to be. I can feel it.

Clutch (Target, $20)

Purses are always a good bet for a girl purchase. You don’t have to worry about if it fits, just if it fits her style. this straw clutch is perfect for summer, matches everything, and that bow? C’mon. Adorable.

Cinnamon-Vanilla Pecans (The Well-Dressed Nut, $15 for an 8 oz. pouch)

The way to a girl’s heart is through her mindless snacking? With these delicious nuts, yes. They taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and I could eat my weight in them, easily.
