Outfit of the Day: For a Warm Winter

It’s been a weird winter, hasn’t it? At least in New York, the weather’s acted like an obnoxious dinner companion who can’t decide between the chicken or the fish. Should it rain? Should it snow? Should it do that terrible misting thing where damp precipitation mixes with sweat from your mistaken choice of wearing a wool overcoat in 50 degree January weather?

Enter the puffy vest. Warm but not hot. Weather-resistant but not bulky. Torso but no sleeves…you get the idea. Pro tip: go down a size for a more fitted, stylish look. This is not the vest to pair over your decade-old hoodie sweatshirt with the buffalo wings stain down the front. This vest says, “Pair me with a sweater and take me to brunch or lose me forever.” Or, y’know, Home Depot. I don’t know what you do in your free time.
