Outfit of the Day: To Grandmother’s House We Go
This year, I have just one Christmas wish – that in my lifetime, my generation will overcome the desire to wear sweatpants when we travel.
I believe we can and will arrive at the airport in pressed khakis and button-down shirts. That at the train station, not an Ugg and leggings combo will be visible as far as the eye can see. That waxed canvas duffels will replace Jansport backpacks in buses’ overhead compartments.
I know, I know. I dream big. But as you get ready to head homeward bound this holiday season, think about taking a step up, rather than back, in your on-the-go style. If not for me, then for the false impression of well-adjusted adulthood you’ll give your parents when they see you.
