Your Style Girlfriend: In Lucky Magazine

Or rather, on Lucky Magazine’s website. But I mean, still. It counts.

Being a dude, you may not be so familiar with the magazine, since it’s all about great shopping tips for us ladies. But awhile back, they had menswear bloggers (bros, not me) recreate some female fashion bloggers’ signature poses, to awkward and hilarious effect.

They decided to turn the tables by having a few chick bloggers recreate menswear poses.

I’m posing as my friend Nico, who works at Ovadia & Sons, who you may remember from my recent post on the GQ x Gap collaboration. He’s known throughout the twitter- and instagram-verse for posting pictures of himself (or “selfies” as they’re becoming known in the blogging community) shot in his work bathroom. I had to swing by their offices recently, so I thought it was the perfect time to recreate that shot.

You can also spot me in the last group shot (above), taken outside of hashtag-menswear hangout, Saturdays NYC.

Here’s the thing: I’m not sure this will actually be that amusing to you. I mean, I see so many of these bros pop up on my Tumblr dashboard every day that recreating these familiar poses made for a highly amusing Saturday afternoon with the other girls in these pictures, but it may be a case of walking into the punchline of an inside joke; it just makes you go, “O-o-o-o-kay?”
