Do’s and Don’ts: Packing for a Business Trip
Yesterday, we talked about the clothes to pack – and how to wear them – for your next “work hard-play hard” business trip.
Portavi founder Hitha Palepu remixed the stylish contents of an efficiently packed suitcase for day-to-night outfits…for five whole days.
What can I say? The girl is good.
Today, she gives a list of Do’s and Don’ts for keeping those clothes looking clean and fresh your who-o-o-o-le trip.
Hitha says:
DO get your shoes shined a couple of times during the trip.
In addition to looking polished for the day, it also helps clean and disguise the previous night’s transgressions.
AVOID colored drinks at night.
In addition to the obvious cranberry juice and day-glow Midori, this includes whiskeys and other dark liquors. Vegas nightlife establishments are overly crowded and spills are prone to happen. Just in case you have to deal with a spill, bring along a Tide pen.
DO invest in non-iron clothing.
Who has time to iron their clothes on 3 hours of sleep?
BRING dryer sheets.
You can rub them on your clothes to remove cigarette smoke and other unpleasant odors. It works like a charm.
DO schedule a Portavi session.

Have you ever had a packing disaster? A few holidays ago, my sister returned home only to find an entire bottle of body wash had leaked in her suitcase…and on all her new Christmas presents. It was a suds-y mess.
Now go on, give me your worst story!
