Here’s what Ryan had to say about his look:

“So I put together a fun casual but professional outfit for a work event last night. As a publicist I’m usually supposed to carefully blend into the background so as not to take attention away from talent but I always try to spice it up a bit for fun. I recently got a set of spotted knit ties that I like to throw on. Between the fun texture and the bold spots they really gives any outfit a fun pop. And I finished it off with my favorite handle bar mustache tie bar.”

And yes, thankfully Ryan supplied us with  a close up of that mustache tie bar that really clinched the win:

Gabi’s Take

Ryan went all the way with accessories AND his fit is on point. A polka dot tie can do no wrong in my eyes, and a tie clip is the perfect way to wear mustache miscellany because it’s just subtle enough to be noticed without being overbearing. And his hair looks nice to boot! He let the accessories lead, while the clothes play a strong supporting role, and I think it worked out really well.

Megan’s Take

Ryan’s goal was to look professional at his work event, but also to throw his own personal style in there, and he really nailed that sometimes-tricky balancing act. Obviously for an #OOTW geared towards showing off your best accessories, that polka dot tie and tie bar combo went a long way in winning me and Gabi over, but the whole look really works. I am such a sucker for the sportcoat/cuffed dark jean combo when done well, and Ryan really did just that in this photo.

Two more things, Ryan: 1) Give us the deets on that tie bar! Where’d ya get it? and 2) How was Bling Ring? I’m seeing it this weekend, and I’m a little nervous about seeing Hermione as a spoiled LA brat!
