Round 1 of 2017 Men’s Style Madness: 5 VS 12 and 4 VS 13
Welcome to the Madness! Voting is simple – pick the most stylish guy by clicking on their name in the match up – no login required. Feel free to share your bracket with us and sway a few votes in the comments below. So, who ya got?
5 vs 12
DeAndre Hopkins
Sure, DeAndre Hopkins may have almost started a beef with Megan live on the red carpet at the 2015 NFL Honors but we can’t knock his bold styling choices. Any guy that goes for an espadrille and peacoat combination as easily as a chinos and bluchers is a worthy “best dressed” contender.
Tom Brady
Oh, Tom Brady. What can we say about this controversy-and-outerwear loving MVP that hasn’t already been deeply analyzed across the interweb? However you feel about him on the field, the guy knows how stay true to his simple personal style.
Odell Beckham Jr.
You know we couldn’t seed this bracket without an appearance from Beckham Jr. When it comes to sampling a trend or creating his own style, he has no fear. And we’re very into that level of confidence.
Kevin Love
While it’s not news that the NBA has an ongoing love affair with fashion, I’m always a fan peeping the unique off-the-court style moves Kevin love makes. He’s a little tamer than most, but always shines with unexpected details.
Henrik Lundqvist
You don’t need to follow hockey to appreciate Lundqvist’s complete domination of the sartorial game. When he’s not tending…to…goals (yep, we’ll go with that), this all-star spends quality time in the fashion realm showing off his monochromatic mastery and attention to detail with fit.
Mobolaji Dawodu
What’s that? You’re trying to find the master of bright hues and impactful prints? Look no further because we’ve arrived at Dawodu. We can’t say we’re surprised that this GQ Fashion Editor can throw an impressive outfit together, but we love that his looks are both accessible and always unexpected.
John Legend
If you want to add John Legend to the #1 spot on your “Best Dressed” list, well, the line forms to the left. From red carpets to awards shows, Legend has earned high praise for nearly every look he’s been spotted in this year.
Migos
Yes, Migos is three people. Yes, we absolutely (maybe) knew that before “Versace” or “Bad and Boujee” blew up. This trio doesn’t shy away from accessories like coordinated sunglasses and necklaces or surprising outfit combinations that show off each member’s personal style.

4 VS 13
Barack Obama
One thing is certain: Our 44th president can wear the hell out of a (properly fitted!) suit – and his post-presidency style does not disappoint. What’s even more impressive? His casual style that ranges from pulling off dad jeans to layering menswear essentials like a sleek bomber with a chambray button down.
Nate Burleson
This former wide receiver turned Good Morning Football co-host has been making some serious style plays as of late. He can switch from a windowpane suit to hyper-trendy denim without looking out of place in either look. Meaning: Burleson’s clothes don’t wear him.
Russell Westbrook
And what did Westbrook say to traditional clothing proportions? “Not today, sir!” We love that he takes a running headstart towards trends while weaving in his athletic style through attention-grabbing sneakers. Also, shoutout overalls, right?
Daveed Diggs
The man just goes for it. Upon shooting to fame from his role in Hamilton, Diggs has not shied away from risky style choices (see: mismatched monks) and unexpected suiting (also see: dual-patterned topcoat with sneakers).
Dwayne Johnson
Here’s a scientific mystery for you: How has Dwayne altered physics to make his enormous frame look perfectly proportional in everything he wears? Possibly sorcery. Or more likely a strong relationship with his tailor. We love that he’s not afraid to draw even more attention to his size with textured tuxedos and standout casualwear.
Jay Wright
We don’t see many college coaches – and their typically tame suits – top the men’s style charts. Villanova’s Jay Wright is here to change that with his passion for pinstripes and anything-but-boring ties. As for his affinity towards three-piece suits? He’s scoring three pointers every time.
James Corden
How I love James Corden, let me count the ways. If a fully buttoned polo isn’t indicative enough of his impressive-yet-understated style, let’s turn our attention towards his suiting that always fits his body type perfectly.
Jon Batiste
This bandleader knows how to steal the show without playing a single note. Batiste grabs on to bright colors and slim suiting so effortlessly that it’s easy to forget his mint green suit isn’t a standard navy number.
