SG Wants to Know: How was your week?

Here’s what I’ve been thinking about, listening to, wearing, and more this week. Share your latest and greatest in the comments below:
WEARING
{not me, but I wouldn’t mind if it were..}
I’ll be honest; I’ve been wearing a lot of leggings lately. Most of the last week has been spent working from home, and it just sort of…happened. I feel like I fell off the style wagon a bit but plan to get back on. I actually have to leave the house today for a few good reasons, so I have a chance to redeem myself. Curious for those of you who work in an office with even the slightest of dress codes: what’s your go-to “I just can’t today” outfit for when the last thing you want to do is try?
WORKING ON
Finding a virtual assistant. I can’t tell if this is the most obnoxious or most brilliant endeavor I’ve ever landed on…probably a bit of both. That said, I’m not sure why I’m having such a hard time stomaching the idea of needing someone to help me manage the admin tasks that pile themselves onto my to-do list each day; if I were still working in the corporate world, I’d most likely have some kind of assistant (even if they were also helping more than just me). I’m still in the research phase, so if you have any great recommendations, I’d love to hear about them in the comments.
ANTICIPATING
It’s probably time to tell you – or maybe past time – that I’m once again partnering with the NFL this next month and am pretty amped about it! This year I’ll be interviewing celebs and players on the red carpet at the NFL Honors down in Arizona the Saturday night before the Super Bowl. Nominees are still TBD, but if my pretend boyfriend attends, I make no promises about maintaining “professional behavior.” Also, there’s been talk of a selfie stick, so..get ready.
Who do you think will make it to the big game in February? I’m obviously rooting for my Packers, but I’m always happy to see some friendly sh*t talking in the comments when it comes to team allegiances, so feel free to get to it.
LISTENING TO
Mark Ronson’s Uptown Special, all day every day.
Oh my god, have you guys heard this album? I am the first to admit that I fell – hard – for “Uptown Funk” when it first came out, and may have slightly thrown my neck out while grooving to the track at a recent spin class.
Which is funny, because I’m not generally an “Earth Wind and Fire” -funk/disco kind of girl, but Ronson hits all the right notes to make the music feel modern, not throwback. If you haven’t started in on it, what are you waiting for? Stevie Wonder literally opens and closes the album, so I don’t know what else you want. Oh, and Mystikal guests on a track. Mystikal! yeah, you’re welcome.
EATING
Not much. I’m doing a cleanse (insert indignant shock and outrage here) to help rebalance my body and remind myself that I don’t need a cup of green tea in the morning to concentrate, a drink at the end of the day to unwind, or a cookie before bed because I “deserve” it. If you want to talk more about how ridiculous I am for thinking that consuming food that grows from the ground and falls from trees for a week is a horrible idea, please feel free to direct that here.
THANKFUL FOR
This winter jacket. I talked earlier in the week about my new winter parka and others that match it for warmth and style, and I swear, every time I go outside I feel grateful all over again for how warm it is. Sometimes I can get so wrapped up in what looks good that I don’t consider the importance of technical function. This coat reminds me how lucky we are to live in an age where some of our society’s smartest minds think day in and day out about how to make clothes work harder for us.
Well, what about you?
