Shop the Store: Kith
Like fancy sneakers? How about breakfast? If you answered “yes” to either, you’ll love Kith.
A must-stop shop for the stylish guy living in or visiting NYC, designer Ronnie Fieg has curated a retail experience boasting a super-strong style point of view. Expect to encounter fashion-conscious sneakers and clothes you’ll want to walk out of the store wearing. With two retail storefronts, one in Manhattan and the other in Brooklyn, Fieg is quickly covering the boroughs’ bases.
Even better? Taking the trend of having a coffee shop / barber / acupuncturist / bonzai tree trimmer in-store, Kith Brooklyn ups the game with – wait for it – a cereal bar.
Yup, from 7am onwards, sneaker-loving, breakfast-needing folks can stop in for Kith Treats: choosing from 24 cereals, 25 toppings, and 5 kinds of milk – all packaged in a fun, takeaway box. It’s weird. It’s great. It’s cereal.
Who started it
Aaron ‘Ronnie’ Fieg is a NYC-based designer, best known for his frequent collaborations with Sebago and Asics.
At 13, a job as a stock boy for footwear chain David Z kicked off a passion for footwear. From these humble beginnings, Fieg has since gone on to collaborate with a bevy of brands including Adidas, Clarks, Converse, Herschel Supply, New Balance, Polo Ralph Lauren, PUMA, Red Wings, Saucony, Sebago, Shades of Grey by Micah Cohen, Timberland and more. Yeah, the guy’s been busy.
He opened Kith NYC and Kith Brooklyn in 2011, with the latter recently undergoing a beautiful renovation for its 3,000-square-foot space.
Who it‘s for
The fashion guy-slash-sneakerhead. And anyone who really, really likes cereal.
Don’t miss
They’ll be carrying Kanye West’s Adidas line, so if you’re hard up for the Yeezy Season 1, get ready to get in line.
