Guys, I feel like I have pushed more jackets and layers than any other category of 5 Days, 5 Ways. And yet somehow, I still think there is room for (at least one) more.
Outerwear is the first part of your outfit that most people see, so it’s definitely worth more consideration than say, your socks (I think fun socks are still important just slightly less so). I’m not saying every jacket you own has to be a sick leather bomber, but I am saying it’s worth upgrading even the most casual jackets in your wardrobe, because you should only give yourself the option to look good, even if you’re just grabbing coffee.
Enter, the windbreaker. If you don’t already have one, opt for a slim fit throughout so you can layer it over or under throughout the year. A vintage style racing stripe or color-block are highly encouraged.
Lightweight and durable, a windbreaker can be an easy layer to add even in the hottest months.
