1. Go for a densely woven fabric.

Think about your favorite pair of jeans. I’ll bet they’re broken in, but you probably wouldn’t describe the material as “thin,” would you? After all, they’re denim, not linen.

Look for the same weighty feel of your year-round jeans in a pair of white jeans.

You’ll feel more comfortable — like you’re just wearing a regular pair of blue or black jeans. Also, your undergarments won’t show through.

2. Think off-white, not BRIGHT WHITE.

Sure, there are white jeans out there the color of a sitcom star’s veneers, but most styles live somewhere on a creamier color spectrum.

Don’t get too hung up on the shade name — eggshell, canvas, ecru…the list goes on. If the color is not-quite-white, you’re in the right place.

3. Err on the side of straight-fit or slim.
